Prof. Maode Ma

Biodata: Prof. Maode Ma, a Fellow of IET, received his
Bachelor degree from Department of Computer Science and Technology
in Tsinghua University in 1982, his Master degree
from Department of Computer Science and Technology in Tianjin
University in 1991, and his Ph.D. degree in Department of Computer
Science from Hong Kong University of
Science and Technology in 1999. Now, Dr. Ma is a tenured Associate
Professor in the
School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang
Technological University in
Singapore. He has extensive research interests including network
security and wireless
networking. He has led 25 research projects funded by government,
industry, military and universities in various countries. He has
supervised over 20 research students to get their Ph. D degrees. He
has been a conference chair, technical symposium chair, tutorial
chair, publication chair, publicity chair and session chair for over
100 international conferences. He has been a member of the technical
program committees for more than 200
international conferences. Dr. Ma has more than 430 international
academic publications including over 210 journal papers and more
than 220 conference papers. He has edited 4 technical books and
produced over 25 book chapters. His publication has received about
5000 citation in Google Scholar. He has delivered over 70 keynote
speeches and 10
tutorials at various international conferences. He currently serves
as the Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Computer and
Communication Engineering, Journal of
Communications and International Journal of Electronic Transport. He
also serves as a
Senior Editor for IEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorials, and an
Associate Editor for
International Journal of Security and Communication Networks,
International Journal of Wireless Communications and Mobile
Computing and International Journal of
Communication Systems. He had been an Associate Editor for IEEE
Communications
Letters from 2003 to 2011. Dr. Ma is a senior member of IEEE
Communication Society and IEEE Education Society, and a member of
ACM. He is now the Secretary of the IEEE
Singapore Section and the Chair of the ACM, Singapore Chapter. He
has served as an IEEE Communication Society Distinguished Lecturer
from 2013 to 2016.

Prof. Girija Chetty
University of Canberra, Australia
Biodata: Dr. Girija
Chetty has a Bachelors and Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
and Computer Science, and PhD in Information Sciences and
Engineering from Australia. She has more than 25 years of experience
in Industry, Research and Teaching from
Universities and Research and Development Companies from India and
Australia, and has held several leadership positions including Head
of Software Engineering and Computer Science, and Course Director
for Master of Computing Course. Currently, she is the Head of
Multimodal Systems and Information Fusion Group in University of
Canberra, Australia, and leads a research group with several PhD
students, Post Docs, research assistants and regular International
and National visiting researchers. She is a Senior Member of IEEE,
USA, and senior member of Australian Computer Society, and her
research interests are
in the area of multimodal systems, computer vision, pattern
recognition and image
processing. She has published extensively with more than 120 fully
refereed publications
in several invited book chapters, edited books, high quality
conference and journals, and she is in the editorial boards,
technical review committees and regular reviewer for
several IEEE, Elsevier and IET journals in Computer Vision, Pattern
Recognition and Image Processing.

Dr. Nan Yang
Australian National University, Australia
Biodata: Dr. Nan Yang is a Senior Lecturer and the
Associate Dean (High Degree
Research) of the College of Engineering and Computer Science,
Australian National
University (ANU), Canberra, Australia. He received his Ph.D. degree
from Beijing Institute of Technology, China, in 2011 and joined the
ANU in 2014. He received the IEEE
ComSoc Asia-Pacific Outstanding Young Researcher Award in 2014.
Also, he is the
co-recipient of Best Paper Awards at the IEEE GlobeCOM 2016 and the
IEEE VTC Spring
2013. He is currently serving on the editorial board of the IEEE
Transactions on Wireless
Communications, IEEE Transactions on Molecular, Biological, and
Multi-Scale
Communications, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, and
Wiley's Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies.
His research interests include ultra-reliable and low-latency
communications, millimetre wave and terahertz communications,
cyber-physical security, massive multiple-antenna systems, and
molecular
communications.

Prof. Chih-Peng Fan,
National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan
Biodata:
Chih-Peng Fan received the B.S., M.S., and, and Ph.D. degrees, all
in electrical
engineering, from the National Cheng Kung University, Tainan,
Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1991,
1993 and 1998, respectively. During October 1998 to January 2003, he
was a design
engineer for the cable modem and multimedia transmission project at
the Customer-
Provided Equipment (CPE) and Interface Technology Department (N100),
Computer and Communications Research Laboratories (CCL), Industrial
Technology Research Institute
(ITRI), Hsinchu, Taiwan. In 2003, he joined the Department of
Electrical Engineering at
National Chung Hsing University in Taiwan as an Assistant Professor.
He became an
Associate Professor in 2007, and a full Professor in 2013. He has
more than
110 publications, including technical journals, technical reports,
book chapters, and
conference papers. His teaching and research interests include
deep-learning for digital
image processing and pattern recognition, digital video coding and
processing, digital
baseband transceiver design, VLSI design for digital signal
processing, and fast
prototype of DSP systems with FPGA and embedded SOC platform. He
